Chappaque is an Algonquian word that was used by the Native Americans.
It means The Rustling Land or ‘a place where nothing is heard but the rustling of the wind in the leaves’.
Brendan & Marjorie McCarthy live here and commissioned me.
I wanted to create a piece that reflected the stunning nature that surrounds their home.
To bring a bit of the outside in, while making sounds inspired by Chappaqua, New York.
